Reupholstery Services
While we don't offer new, custom sizes, we can sometimes recover your existing lampshade! This service helps to breathe new life into an old shade using one of our beautiful fabrics.
How do I start using the reupholstery service?
First, choose the fabric you'd like your old frame covered in, then use the contact form to send us the following details so we can assess feasibility:
- Lampshade design name (the fabric you want us to use, e.g., Elsie, Figgy
- Dimensions of the current shade (top diameter and bottom diameter)
- A photo of the current frame (if possible)
Please Note: To use your existing shade, we must pull it apart to reuse the frame. The original fabric will be destroyed, so please do not send any shades with high sentimental value that you wish to have returned intact. We cannot reupholster traditional pleated lampshades.
Once we’ve confirmed it is feasible and you've placed your order, you will receive an order confirmation email which includes the address for our studio in Holt.
Please do not send us any lampshades until we have confirmed feasibility with you.
How should I package and send my old shade?
Please package your existing shade frame securely in a strong box with ample padding (like bubble wrap or scrunched newspaper) to prevent damage during transit. Please use a tracked and insured shipping method — we are not responsible for frames that are lost or damaged before they reach our studio.
Clearly include your Order Number inside the box so we can match the frame to your fabric choice.
Who pays for the shipping of the old shade to you?
The customer is responsible for the cost of safely shipping the existing shade frame to our studio.
How long does the reupholstery process take?
The turnaround time for the reupholstery service is the same as our new shades: 2–3 weeks from the point at which we receive the frame at our studio. We will update you via email when we receive your frame, and then again when the finished product is ready to ship or collect.
