Móðir began as a small passion project, sparked by a love for illustration and the belief that the objects we live with should tell a story. With a degree in Illustration, I found myself translating inspiration, from the unique silhouette of a Chinese vase to sketches along the Norfolk coast, into functional art. Due to their unexpected popularity, these designs quickly flourished into the business you see today. I believe an original lampshade is one of the quickest, most impactful ways to curate your space and express your personal aesthetic.

Every single design you see, from the distinctive Frida to the vibrant Seville pattern, originates from my own sketches, lino prints or paper templates. They are not trends; they are original pieces of art translated into home decor.
